8/26/2026 – Deadly Mudslides and Floods Tear Through Nepal Near Tibet Border


A catastrophic mudslide and flash floods along the Nepal–China/Tibet border have killed at least 19 people in Nepal and left hundreds missing, including many tourists. The disaster struck early Wednesday, August 26, 2026, when a wall of mud, rock, and debris collapsed into the Lhende river, triggering a cascading flood that swept away homes, vehicles, and infrastructure
