The actor died at the age of 89 on Sept. 16 at his mountain home in Sundance, Utah. The Oscar winner was known for his roles in films including Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, The Sting, All the President’s Men, and The Natural. 

He is survived by his wife, Sibylle Szaggars, and two of his children, Shauna and Amy.
